Once there was a man who travelled all over the world with a tape recorder under his arm. His mission: to record the loveliest folk songs and ensure they would never be forgotten. His name: Alan Lomax. The musician Jan Van Outryve has chosen the most beautiful songs from Lomax's gigantic archive, adapted them for a band and recorded two wonderful CDs. For Songs with Roots XL, the full band gets back together around Jan to perform the very best of these CDs live.
Every song is a little gem with a story of its own. Expect a vibrant, moving concert for everyone aged 5 and above.
